As soon as I explained that the “send troops to the border” is a PR stunt, guess what happened?
1/ Following Trump’s highly effective strategy of governing by crisis and spectacle, also known as “keep everyone reeling with cultural wars and lies” he does it again. He claims that he can end birthright citizenship. Well, of course he can’t.
2/ Amending the constitution is a burdensome process. ourdocuments.gov/doc.php?flash=… Trump WANTS us to be talking about this. This is his proven strategy for controlling the national conversation.
3/ The strategy (used by Trump and the entire far right wing) is why Her Emails sank so deeply into the public consciousness that most Americans believed HRC committed an imprisonable offense (she didn’t). Even people who knew better felt a nagging doubt.’ Meanwhile, serious crimes including indicted crimes and guilty pleas, slide under the radar.
