Summary of 7-13 indictment. I’ve updated the main page of my website with a summary and short analysis of the new indictment, complete with links:  For easy retweeting and argument settling, I’ll put the summary here.

1/ Summary: Russian military officials conspired with persons “known and unknown to the grand jury” to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. They hacked the DNC, HRC’s campaign, the DCCC & an Election Board and weaponized the stolen emails to interfere with the election.

2/ Persons “known and unknown to the grand jury” means that Mueller is still withholding the names of others who participated. Attackers were in the MILITARY, meaning a foreign nation attacked. (Last indictment of Russians showed no ties to the Russian government or military)

3/ Laws (allegedly) violated: Conspiracy against the US or to Defraud the US; Major Fraud against the US; Aggravated identity theft (Stole identities of 500,000 voters addresses, partial SS#, dates of birth, driver’s licenses #) Conspiracy to Launder Money & Computer Fraud.

5/ Interesting facts in the indictment: June 2016 the “conspirators” created Guccifer 2.0 to undermine claims of Russian responsibility for the hacks. “A person who was in regular contact with senior members” of the Trump campaign began communicating with Guccifer 2.0.

6/ Roger Stone has admitted this person is probably him. Thus although the indictment does not allege a link between Russia’s hackers (and attackers) and the Trump Campaign, Stone acknowledges that there is one—him.

7/ Guccifer received and responded to a request for documents from a candidate for US Congressman. We’re told nothing else. Mueller doesn’t say whether this person knowingly communicated with Russia. But Mueller knows who, and Mueller knows whether the contact was “knowing.”

8/ The SAME day Trump said, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Russian government hackers launched an attack against email accounts of Clinton staffers. We’re left to draw our own conclusions. [Oh! Oh! I know! 🙋‍♀️]

9/ From the timeframe in the indictment and stuff we know from other indictments, we can draw the obvious conclusion that hacking was ongoing during the time individuals in the Trump campaign were in touch with “charged and uncharged Russian conspirators.”

10/ In the past, the very conservative National Review was skeptical about whether there was coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russians. After the 7-13 indictment, even the National review is coming around

11/ The problem down the road won’t be proving that those close to Trump were deeply involved (see Roger Stone above). The problem will be fighting a campaign of lies and disinformation, which Russia (and Trump) have perfected. What do I mean? See
