(thread) As most people following the Mueller probe have suspected, the two new docs Mueller filed make clear that he’s revealed only a portion of what he knows.

1/ This doc was filed in advance of van Der Zwaan’s sentencing today:  Contains: “van Der Zwaag is in the unusual position of having information related to the investigation that is not widely know.” This means there was more to the cryptic story…

2/… given in van Der Zwaag’s plea agreement. Mueller also responded to Manafort’s motion to dismiss the case, & mentioned that they’re investigating how Manafort helped Russia interfere in the election

3/ This means they have evidence that Manafort helped Russia—evidence they haven’t revealed. He also includes a highly redacted addendum to Rosenstein’s instruction, showing that he was specifically pointed in directions the DOJ is not yet willing to reveal.

4/ All the black in this addendum to Mueller’s motion is the stuff we can’t know yet because the investigation is ongoing: assets.documentcloud.org/documents/4429…(Manafort’s Motion to Dismiss, BTW, is the kind of Hail Mary motion defense lawyers are always filing. I expected it to lose).
